Our company has been in business for over 30 years, dealing strictly with qualified plans. We currently service over 700 plans, with approximately 200 of those being Defined Benefit Plans. Our specialities include plan design, implementations, and administration of both defined contribution and defined benefit plans.
Since we concentrate solely on pensions, we can focus strictly on the plan itself. We do not handle any investments, insurance, or banking. We also do not offer any investment advice. As a third party administrator, we are able to work freely with your CPA, Attorney, or Financial Advisor without any conflict of interest.
Glen Hughes, ERPA, QPA, QKA
Glen is the founder of The Pension Source, Inc. He is a plan design specialist with more than 35 years of experience. As President and plan design specialist, Glen’s primary responsibility is overseeing the entire operation and to supervise plan design and actuarial work for The Pension Source’s 401(k) and Defined Benefit Plans.
Glen holds a Bachelor of Science from Purdue University with a degree in Aeronautical Engineering. He is a member of the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries and is an Enrolled Retirement Plan Agent (ERPA), Qualified Pension Administrator (QPA) and Qualified 401(k) Administrator (QKA).
Jason Grant, ERPA, QPA, QKA
Jason’s responsibilities include: plan design and consulting on 200+ Plans per year, the administration of 150+ Plans per year and ensures all deadlines are met throughout the year. Jason is also involved in creating proposals and setting up new documents. He has over 10 years experience, all with The Pension Source, Inc. Jason graduated from Barry University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. He is a member of the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries and is an Enrolled Retirement Plan Agent (ERPA), Qualified Pension Administrator (QPA) and Qualified 401(k) Administrator (QKA).

Barbara has over 15 years of operations and marketing experience and is responsible for managing and overseeing the daily activity of The Pensions Source, Inc. She collaborates with the management team to focus on best practices for desired client service outcomes, human resource compliance and marketing. Her focus daily is to make sure that the business functions smoothly. She is results oriented with a high sense of leadership and uncompromising integrity. She is a member of the Society of Human Resources (SHRM), Martin County Human Resources and Human Resource Association of Palm Beach County as well as several area Chamber of Commerce’s.
Barbara received the Outstanding Marketing and Management award at Palm Beach State College where she received her degree in Business Administration and Marketing.

Doreen began her career with The Pension Source in March 2013. She has over 25 years of experience in business management/development and sales/marketing. She is responsible for developing new business opportunities for the Pension Source. She communicates daily with current and prospective clients, CPA’s and Financial Advisors to coordinate meetings and establish new business leads. Her vast experience with and knowledge of the not-for-profit, for-profit, private and government sectors affords her a comprehensive understanding of the business life cycle. Her strong belief in utilizing best business practices serves to develop strong client and professional relationships. Doreen is an Alum of the Martin County Leadership Program class 26. She served as Secretary for the Stuart Martin County Chamber Toastmasters 2014-2016, is active in 5 local chambers and volunteers her time in the community. She was nominated for the Wall Street Journal Award of Academic Excellence and has a degree in Business Development and Marketing.
Lisa Thompson, ERPA, QPA, QKA
Lisa’s responsibilities include the day-to-day Pension Plan Administration, overseeing all aspects of administration including plan design, compliance, reporting, and plan sponsor education. She is directly involved with all aspects of participant recordkeeping, distribution and loan processing, and compliance testing. Lisa has over 20 years experience in Pension Administration working in banks, trust companies, and third-party administration firms.
Lisa graduated from Indiana Wesleyan University and holds the professional designations of Enrolled Retirement Plan Agent (ERPA), Qualified Pension Administrator (QPA) and Qualified 401(k) Administrator (QKA) from ASPPA (American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries)
Luke Knightes, QKA
Luke is a pension administrator with ten years of experience at The Pension Source, Inc. His current responsibilities include defined contribution and defined benefit plan administration, proposals, document writing and amendments, trust accounting and audit preparation.
Originally from upstate New York, he completed his undergraduate degree at the State University of New York College at Plattsburgh, where he graduated with a degree in Education with a concentration in Mathematics. Luke holds the professional designation of Qualified 401(k) Administrator (QKA) from ASPPA (American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries).
Janel Lyons, M. Acct, ERPA, QPA
Janel’s responsibilities over the last 4 years include Pension Plan Administration and record keeping for over 120 plans, participant distributions and loan processing, compliance testing, and government reporting. She recently achieved her credentials as an Enrolled Retirement Plan Agent (ERPA) from the Internal Revenue Service and is a Qualified Pension Administrator (QPA) from ASPPA (American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries)
Before joining The Pension Source, Janel oversaw compliance for federally funded programs. She has a Masters of Accounting Degree from Florida Atlantic University.
Andrea has worked as an Administrative Support professional for more than 15 years. After graduating college, she worked for various companies which included the Airline and Banking Industries. She began her career at The Pension Source as an Administrative support Specialist where she provided administrative support for Consultants and Administrators. She made the transition to Administrator where her responsibilities include distributions, loans, government reporting, recordkeeping and compliance testing.
Andrea moved to Florida from New York in 2005 and her short term goal is to receive her certification as a qualified 401(k) Administrator (QKA) from ASPPA (American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries).
Tyesha graduated in 2012 with a Bachelors degree in Accounting from FMU/Everest University. She has over 15 years of Accounting and Office Management experience working in both the legal and hospitality industries. Prior to joining The Pension Source she worked in the legal industry for 8 years as an Accounting Administrator where she was the liaison between client and firm for all accounting and financial obligations.
She is an active member in ministry, serving in our community in various organizations as well as the Secretary for Treasure Coast Youth League. She enjoys helping the youth achieve their athletic goals and dreams as well as being a positive role model and mentor.
Her plans are to further her education and obtain her certification as a qualified 401(K) Administrator (QKA).
Deanna’s current duties include providing support for administrators and consultants. She is involved in all aspects of support services for 650 plus plans. She has 25 years experience as an office manager for several home and pipeline construction companies. Prior to joining The Pension Source family she oversaw federally funded public assistance programs for a not-for-profit organization.
She has plans to further her education and receive her certification as a Qualified 401(k) Administrator (QKA) from ASPPA (American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries).
Deanna moved to Florida in 1985 from Kingsville, Texas. She is active with several local charitable organizations and serves as the recording secretary, committee chair, and is a member of the board of directors.
